Two small things that make a big difference to how ProtoWorks feels.

Printers you can hear

Every printer now has its own 3D audio: a start, a loop while printing and a sound when it finishes. The volume falls off with distance, so from the kitchen you can hear something still running in the garage. Each print sounds slightly different thanks to small variations in volume and pitch. Idle printers are silent.

The loop recording turned out to be about 16 dB quieter than the start sound. We fixed that in the conversion step, with a test that keeps checking the volume.

End of the day

At the end of every working day you now get a summary: revenue, expenses and profit compared with yesterday, what you printed, which orders succeeded or failed and what's waiting tomorrow. You can go to bed from 19:00, and the day ends by itself at midnight.
