In the last devlog your crew could dance. Now you have to do something too.
Playing on the count The old space bar is gone. Every move now asks for a pattern of four directions over eight counts: W, A, S and D on the keyboard, or the four face buttons on your controller. At the bottom of the screen the counts scroll in from the right towards a fixed hit point. Perfect, Great or Good depends on how close you are to the beat, measured on the audio clock rather than the frame rate. Combos build up, and your timing counts towards the final score. The dancers never stop: miss a count and they simply keep dancing. Every performance now starts with a 3-2-1-GO, so you don't miss the first tap.
Our own music Stickography has its first own songs: "We Own the Stage" and "Three Hearts, One Fire". They're in free play and in the campaign, and every gig now asks for a routine of at least a minute. The music starts after the intro, so you can dance straight away.
K-Pop The third style is K-Pop, with 40 solo moves and 11 group moves such as Formation Walk, Center Switch, Ripple and Final Hero Pose. Group moves give every dancer their own role and need two or three dancers.
A track per dancer The routine builder has become a real timeline. Every dancer has their own track, you place moves on half counts, and canon, copy and mirror are ordinary edits. Turn on sync and a change applies to the whole crew.
After the gig The jury shows your score first, gives a new unlock its own moment and then offers three gigs to choose from. Your dancers get a name and their own colour. Venues are now filmed in perspective: whoever walks back gets smaller.
Next time: clothes that actually fit.
